“Stefani Farris is an illumined and refractory voice, at once delivering unforgettable people into our waking hours and gracing the essence of human connection with complexity, yearning, and love.”

Shann Ray, American Book Award winner and author of American Masculine and American Copper

“The stories in Nothing is Precious sing melody to the harmonies of the natural world. They are driven by the complex backbeat of family connection, delving into the loyalties and disloyalties of siblings, the sting of leaving home, the confusion of sometimes not having any home at all. Farris is symphonic at capturing the essence at the heart of our lives, ‘what is gone for good and all that is yet to come.'” —Alyson Hagy, author of Scribe and Ghosts of Wyoming
